What is myWorksites?
myWorksites is New Zealand's digital platform for managing permits in and impacting on the road corridor. Whether you're planning roadworks, utility installations, or other infrastructure projects. myWorksites streamlines the entire permit process from initial application through to work completion. The platform connects you - the applicant - with relevant Road Controlling Authorities (RCA), who review and accept your applications.
Your journey from application to approval
Getting started with myWorksites is straightforward once you understand the workflow. You'll begin by Getting set up with your account and joining your company's organisation - don't worry if you're the first from your company, we'll walk you through that too. Once you're in, you'll land on Your dashboard, which becomes your command centre for managing all your applications and project activities.
Before diving into applications, it's worth understanding The basics of what you can create on the platform - primarily Worksite (Corridor Access Requests (CAR)) applications and Traffic Management Plans (TMPs). But also the upcoming Early Access Requests (EAR) for works on the national state highway network.
For most roadworks projects you will need to create and submit a Worksite application to get permission for your actual work activity in the road corridor.
Typically you will also need to submit a Traffic Management Plan (TMP) application along with your Worksite application to manage the risks and disruption to road users safely.
Once you've submitted your applications, you'll want to know What happens next - who reviews them, how long it may take, and what to do if there are any issues.
Finally, when your applications are approved, there are Essential next steps for notifying RCAs when work begins, understanding acceptance conditions and meeting your obligations during the project, and properly closing out your permits when work is complete.
