Overview
myWorksites has two primary user groups that have different key functions, roles and permissions. The two groups play a key role in the end to end corridor access and traffic management processes.
At a high level, there are Road Controlling Authority (RCA) users, and Applicant (non-RCA) users.
Applicant users (non-RCA users)
Non-RCA users run projects, worksites and traffic management plans, and are required to submit applications (CARs and TMPs), gain acceptance (WAP) prior to undertaking any activity in the road corridor. Through the lifecycle of the planned activity, the Non-RCA users need to adhere to their WAP conditions, and this involves multiple different kinds of tasks they must perform and record in myWorksites.
Non-RCA user roles include:
Company Admin: for managing and updating the roles for users who are part of an Organisation. See our guide on Organisation Administration for more information.
Contractor: the main role for creating, submitting, editing and managing any CAR/WAP and TMP end to end. This is the main role needed to create and edit information in myWorksites.
STMS: a role for users who are closer to the traffic management on the ground. STMS users are responsible for updating layouts and deployments in relation to TMPs.
Company Contact: a read-only and commenter role.
See screenshot below for where the Company Admin can set different roles for users in their organisation.
Road Controlling Authority users (RCA users)
RCA users review, accept or decline Corridor Access Requests (CARs) and Traffic Management Plans (TMPs). Accepted CARs and TMPs make up a Work Access Permit (WAP). The RCA users are the regulator through the lifecycle of the planned activity.
β
RCA user roles include:
RCA Administrator: similar to Company Admin for non-RCA users
Corridor Access Manager: the main role for the RCA to review, accept/ or decline CARs/WAPs.
Coordinator: a role similar to the Corridor Access Manager, but with permissions more restricted to TMPs. Coordinators have view-access to most parts of the system, and can accept/decline TMPs.
Billing Manager: A limited RCA role with view-access to most parts of the system, and special access to the Fee manager module and Billing Reports.
Auditor: A limited RCA role with view-access to most parts of the system, and special access to the Audit module.
CAM Reviewer: a supporting role to the Corridor Access Manager who can view, review and comment but not accept or decline.
RCA Reviewer: a view only role similar to the Contact for non-RCA users.
See screenshot below for where the RCA Administrator can set different roles for users in their organisation.
