Early Access Request applications to "NZTA Nationwide" are a special type of application in the myWorksites system. These applications will not result in a Corridor Access Request (CAR) being issued. But are required as part of the process for NZTA.

As applicant user, the Quick Access toolbar on the applicant dashboard leads you straight into the EAR creation workflow. An EAR can only be created for applications where "NZTA Nationwide" is the selected RCA.

If you commence the process via the "Create Worksite" menu item, make sure you set the "Application Type" to "Early Access Request".

The EAR application process in myWorksites will feel and look similar to other existing workflows in the system.

This process will guide users through the creation process and prompt users to provide the mandatory data.

It is recommended applicants and contractors understand the functionality of the regular Worksite creation process, as this will support their EAR creation process.

There is an additional Early Access Request Details embedded into the process, which will require applicants to provide some information specific to their proposed activity.
But also provide guidance on whether a Corridor Access Request (CAR) or other permit is required and will need to be applied for via other mechanisms.

If a CAR or other permit has already been obtained, the ID may be provided as part of the EAR application. An ID will need to be provided by the time TMPs will be submitted to NZTA. The ID can be added at a later point in time.

The myWorksites system may pre-fill some of the mandatory information entry fields, based on the mapped Worksite extent.

However, users may choose to change this value.

Note that there is an order to the values in the dropdown menus, and the system is asking users to select the highest value that applies to their specific activity. The values are sorted in order (highest first) and on-screen messages provide insights into the order as well.

Once users submit the EAR application to NZTA, the system will calculate an Impact Score based on the entered information. The score, alongside other key criteria, is displayed on the EAR overview screen as reference.
