Notifying Start and Completion of Work on an Approved Worksite
When a Worksite application is approved, myWorksites provides tools to notify the Road Controlling Authority (RCA) when work begins and is completed. These notifications help RCAs track compliance and trigger any follow-up inspections or conditions for the Worksite. Additionally, the MyWorksites dashboard helps applicants manage these notifications by listing all items that are due for a Start Work or Complete Work update.
How to Use the Start and Complete Work Notifications
Accessing Notifications via the Dashboard
When you log in to MyWorksites, the dashboard will display a due list of items that require a Start Work or Complete Work notification.
Starting Work
Locate your Worksite on the dashboard due list.
Click into each Worksite listed as “due for start” to access the Worksite View page and select the 'Start Work' button. This action updates the RCA that work has officially begun. See screenshot below.
Completing Work
When work on a listed Worksite is done, return to the dashboard and locate items flagged as “due for completion.”
Click into each Worksite due for completion and select the 'Complete Work' button from the Worksite View page. See screenshot below.
You will be asked for supporting evidence (including documents)
This update notifies the RCA that the work has concluded and triggers any post-completion inspections.
Reasons why you may not be able to set Start Work or Complete Work
There are a couple of reasons why you may not be able to set the work status.
1) The Work Window Dates may no longer be valid. You can't set Start Work or Complete Work where the Work Window dates have lapsed. You will need to update your CAR/WAP (revise and submit).
2) You may not have permissions on that particular CAR/WAP. Check the Applicant and Company the CAR/WAP belongs to and that you have permissions with these organisations (you may need to check if you are operating under the right organisation).

One-Click Access: By clicking into each item on the due list, applicants are taken directly to the relevant Worksite View page, where notifications can be sent without needing to manually search for each Worksite.
Project Management: This feature supports timely notification submissions, helping applicants stay on top of multiple project statuses and RCA compliance requirements.
Benefits of Start and Complete Work Notifications

By using the dashboard due list, applicants can stay up-to-date on all pending Worksite notifications, making communication and compliance with RCAs simpler and more effective.
