Updating a Worksite (or TMP)

Written by myWorksites

To edit or update a Worksite that's been submitted, accepted or declined, you make a revision of the application. Revisions can be created by applicant/contractor users from the company that initially created the Worksite/CAR.

To revise a worksite, you can click on the 'Create revision' button in the footer of the Worksite.

Where to find the 'Create revision' button

The button appears on the Worksite once it's been submitted, accepted or declined (it won't appear while the application is still a draft).

A revision can be created at any point in the Worksite's lifecycle, including after work has started.
Note that any number of new revisions can be created from an accepted or declined Worksite. These will replace any existing unsubmitted draft revision you've already started — so if you began one and stepped away, starting another will overwrite it rather than create a second copy.

To revise a TMP from the Worksite overview page and make changes to it, you can click on the 'Create revision' link on the TMP, under the TMPs section in the Worksite application.

Minor and major revisions

The system differentiates between minor and major revisions:

Minor revision (1.x) — a small, defined-field change made directly on the Worksite via the Overview screen, without going through the full revision workflow. For example, changing the work window dates.

Major revision (x.0) — triggered by clicking the 'Create revision' button.

Editing from the Worksite Overview Screen

Most of the information about a Worksite can be updated from the Worksite Overview Screen. There will be 'Edit' buttons near each of the different sections where attributes can be updated. This pathway for updates always creates a minor revision.

Selected details of the Worksite/CAR are editable from the 'Edit Worksite Details' option or the 'Edit Worksite Extent' option (both are near the top of the overview screen).

Attributes that are editable from the 'Edit Worksite Extent' option/screen include:

  • Worksite Extent (geospatial boundary or shape of the worksite)

  • Address

  • Full Road Closure Requested (yes or no)

  • Traffic Management Level

  • Road Type

  • Route Position/Road Position

Note that the Application Type field cannot be changed. For example an application for a Global Permit cannot be transferred into an application for an Early Access Request or a Worksite.
