The Coordination Map enhances myWorksites' existing coordination functionality by providing RCA users with an interactive spatial view of overlapping worksite extents, TMP layout impacts, detours, bus routes, and bus stops.
This visual tool makes it easier to identify and understand coordination issues, reducing the time spent reviewing clashes, facilitating identification of highly disruptive activities and gaining context faster.
Note: This feature is currently available to Auckland Transport RCA users only.
For more information about the underlying coordination feature, see Worksite Traffic Management Coordination.
Understanding the Coordination map
The Coordination map displays Worksite and TMP overlaps in a visual format, making it easier to understand spatial relationships.
The underlying information is the same as is displayed in the Worksite and TMP coordination table on the Worksite page.
Clicking on the "View coordination map"-button at the bottom of the worksite extent map will open and display the Coordination map. Alternatively, there is a separate button under the "Worksite & TMP coordination" category, which will open the map as well.
On the map, the current worksite extent (filled with a horizontally striped pattern), and current Layout impacts (blue line), as well as any clashing worksite extents, layouts, detours, bus routes and bus stops are displayed.
Further information can be obtained from the table in the left side panel, which lists overlapping bus stops, bus routes, and Worksites.
Interactive features
Users can interact with various elements on-screen to obtain further information on these coordination opportunities or ensure further information is displayed to facilitate decision-making and coordination.
The map
Hover over any Worksite on the map to highlight it and to view basic information.
Click on any Worksite or other mapped item to open the information panel.
Blue striped pattern fill: Your base worksite (the one you're investigating clashes for)
Blue line: Layout impacts for the TMP associated with the current Worksite
Blue worksite: Other worksites which clash with your base worksite
Increasing numbers of worksite overlaps will decrease the transparency and increase the saturation of the mapped polygon.
Green, orange, black lines: Layout impacts showing traffic management areas and lane restrictions.
The colour-scheme is re-using the existing colour-coding: Green - Lane opened, Orange - Capacity reduced, Black - Lane closed.
The information panel
The left panel lists all worksites that clash with the base worksite (for which users are investigating overlaps) and provides controls for managing the map display.
Viewing Detailed Clash Information
Click on any worksite in the left panel to open a detailed view with full worksite information and coordination tools, including the Applicant's and the Affected Party's respective resolutions, as well as the RCA User's notes. From this detailed panel, you can navigate to the listed worksites to access all available information, or add any resolution notes directly via the dialogue.
Controlling What Appears on the Map
Past worksites and resolved clashes can be shown and hidden from view using the toggles above the panel. These toggles only appear when there are past worksites or resolved clashes to show. You can also click on individual worksite rows to highlight that specific worksite and its impacts on the map, or isolate a specific worksite by turning off all other clashing worksites to focus on a single clash without visual clutter.
Clash type Icons used in the interface:
Bus route: Clash with public transport routes
Bus stop: Overlap with bus stop locations
Detour(s): Traffic detour clash
Worksite extent: Physical worksite boundary overlaps
Layout(s): Traffic management and lane layout clashes
