This month, we're introducing a new features that help you collaborate and coordinate with other parties working in the road corridor, as well as adding new functionality and improvements designed to help applicants and road controlling authorities be more efficient.

Summary of what's new

New feature: Worksite & traffic management coordination

Collaboration and coordination is now easier than ever before. A new section in the worksite overview screen shows potential overlaps between your worksite or traffic management plans and other affected parties.

The overlap detection happens automatically as you populate your CAR or TMP and currently will summarise the overlaps between:

  • worksite extents

  • traffic management plan layouts & detours

  • public transport routes, stations & stops

Advanced coordination module

With the support of Auckland Transport, we have also implemented an advanced module with this new feature. The module further enhances communication and decision making between parties and provides this transparently to the approval process.

The improved module enables notes, a status and documentation to be uploaded with each coordination decision.

We're really excited about this feature because it lifts collaboration and enables decision making to happen early on. Get in touch with us via the help widget to let us know what you think.

Reporting page for site audit KPI's

We've added a new page for the site audit module where you can search and export audits from the last 28 days to make it easier to maintain oversight of site audits.

The Audit module as developed with support from Christchurch City Council. If you're interested in this feature, get in touch with us or Christchurch City Council to learn more about how it can help you.

Improvements to the applicant dashboard

The home page for Applicants and Contractors highlights key actions for you or your company. The recent improvement makes it easier to focus on the most recent actions and filters out less relevant actions.

Now only actions from the last 180 days will show, and they are sorted by 'most recent'.

Improved notification management for work completion notices

We've improved how the relevant parties get notified when an RCA approves or rejects a work completion notice.

There is an option to select which parties should be notified via email, speeding up the process and ensuring the right parties are made aware.

Minor changes, fixes and system updates

We're continually improving the stability, reliability and performance of myWorksites. Notable specific improvements include:

  • Change: Addition of a new 'On Behalf Of' party type, enabling CAR's and TMP's to be managed on behalf of another party. The change allows the person using the system to still get notified (the Applicant in myWorksites) whilst keeping contact details of the actual Applicant on record as well (the Applicant in the real world).

  • Fix: Resolving a defect that caused occasional rounding errors when adding or setting worksite Fees

  • System update: Infrastructure updates and additional system logging implemented to help us see potential issues before users are impacted

  • System update: Tooling improvements to help us more quickly and accurately answer queries from end users
